Planning their wedding from North Carolina, Shelby and Josh had a vision for a little of Charleston's historic charm. The Gadsden House with it's beautiful southern piazza full of magnolias and crepe myrtle played the backdrop to their wedding day. They offered a true Charlestonian meal complete with shrimp and grits and fried chicken served with a choice of honey or hot sauce. Personal touches included a beautiful dessert display near a fireplace draped in smilax and ruscus greenery and adorned with a small wooden giraffe whose presence was a commemoration to the Shelby's aunt. Additionally, Shelby is a ballet teacher. It was only fitting that the the bride and groom share a beautifully choreographed first dance and a live painter to capture it on canvas. Needless to say they danced the night away under the stars surrounded in love and in laughter.
